sOURCING & SPECIFICATIONS

The sourcing and specification phase of a project is sort of a process of elimination. While an object may be beautiful on its own, we always question; “Is it right for this project? Is it the correct scale? Do the shape and texture flow with the overall design? Does the finish work with the overall picture? Does the price point work with the clients budget?”

With the myriad of products available on the market today, anyone can just ‘shop’. Our clients hire us not to ‘shop’ but instead to curate items that are perfect for their home. This curation consists of sourcing from makers globally as well as custom designing and producing pieces locally when we are not able to find exactly what we were searching for.

It was this obsessive search for the coolest objects to incorporate into our projects that led us to open our own showroom in Montreal called ‘Kelli’ which is located on the street level of our office, thus, allowing our clients to “sit and feel” before making a buying decision. The showroom provides a great value to KRI projects as our team gets first hand access to over 50 of the worlds top furniture and lighting brands many of which we are the exclusive partner in North America.

In addition to our own showroom, we have built relationships over the years with multiple suppliers of lighting, tiles and stone, millwork, audio visual, window treatments, steel, furniture and décor.
